Born and raised in Fort Valley, GA, just outside of Atlanta’s prominent hip-hop scene, rapper Chino Cappin learned early on to draw lyrical inspiration from his lived experiences. With two albums, Cold Hearted and Too Many Losses under his belt, Chino Cappin has hit his stride, amassing over a million streams across music platforms. His new single “Loading” reflects on that success.
The newly released music video to “Loading” harkens back to Chino Cappin’s roots as an adolescent who would routinely carry around a pen and notebook to record his struggles growing up. “Loading,” according to Chino, was recorded “to just unload everything that I was going through at the time.”
Through compelling rap verses sprinkled with dulcet melodies, “Loading” gives a peek into Chino Cappin’s introspection whilst scrolling down his social media timeline. The video’s understated and isolating visuals pair well with Chino’s candid lyrical exploration of his selfhood as a burgeoning artist in the rap industry.
